For his band Transient Bodies, Stahl invited three musicians with whom he had never played before. He appreciates Swiss pianist Marie Kruttli’s unreserved approach to both electronic and acoustic music. Stahl met French bassist Etienne Renard ten years ago, but had never had the opportunity to play with him. Korean drummer Sun-Mi Hong completes the quartet with her seemingly unlimited range of rhythmic timbres. In keeping with its fundamental character, Transient Bodies is an acoustic quartet that organically weaves in electronic elements. Letting go and holding on to momentum at the same moment – that is the great art of Moritz Stahl and Transient Bodies.
