As Jeugdbrand, Tyfus approaches his music with the same mentality and determination, chopping up phrases and chants to express pure emotion rather than anything resembling a coherent thought. Musically, he is accompanied by Jeroen Stevens‚ eerie accompaniment of drums, concert bells, organs and other sound generators; dramatic passages of sound that capture an intensity that is astonishingly minimal.

With palm fronds and effects in his luggage, Hirsch sets off to follow a promising offer. Andreas O. Hirsch is a musician, visual artist and bricoleur. His musical developments include the electrified palm frond, a modified palm leaf fitted with contact microphones, and the carbophone, a continuation of the African kalimba. Live, Hirsch combines his sound generators with sampling and effects, creating a space between experimental electronics and electro-acoustic music with a penchant for Fluxus, archaic elements and escapist excursions.
