The New Nine is a tribute to 'The Birth of the Cool' led by Miles Davis, Gil Evans, and Gerry Mulligan in 1949-1950. The New Nine will perform all the original arrangements for the jazz nonet, as well as new compositions and arrangements for the unusual instrumentation. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the original recordings.
