La Sierra University’s Pierce Street Jazz series welcomes saxophonist/flutist Javier Vergara in concert on May 24 at 7 p.m. A Los Angeles-based musician, he has performed around the world in top venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and Carnegie Hall and with many renowned artists including the Pancho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band and Hugh Masekela. Admission is free.
