Continuing the traditions of Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson and Peggy Lee, Ms. James is backed by some of New York Cities top studio musicians and is dedicated to keeping the great standards alive as well as adding her flare to “newer“ compositions.

David Pearl: Piano
Pianist, composer and author, David has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Russia and Japan. He was awarded grants from the New York Council on the Arts to perform solo piano recitals featuring composers of Latin America. He has authored: Piano Exercises for Dummies, The Art of Billy Strayhorn, The Art of Steely Dan and Color Your Chords. David has arranged “The Jazz Piano Collection, twenty-two jazz standards for solo piano. Gary Schreiner: Composer / Producer / Chromatic Harmonica
Gary is a multi instrumentalist and Emmy Award – winning composer for TV and Film. He has scored hundreds of TV commercials, shows and movies. Gary performed at Sting’s benefit concert for the Rain Forest last year as a featured guest artist, playing chromatic harmonica with Rosanne Cash for a couple of songs and a duet of “Moon River” with Elton John. He has been touring with Connie James for four years this summer!

Brian Cassier: Double Bass / Music Coordinator / Producer
Brian has performed classical and chamber music with Jose Carreras, Rostropovich, Robert Shaw, Kurt Masur, James DePriest, Lucas Foss, The Orchestra of St Lukes and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra… He is active as a jazz and studio musician working with Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Pat Metheny, Antonio Banderas, Clark Terry and Liza to name a few. Brian has been orchestra contractor for ABC, CBS, NBC Atlantic, Warner /Electra and Broadway in NYC. He played on over twenty Broadway shows. This is Brian’s 5th year with Connie James. He has recently moved to Los Angeles after 27 years in the NYC studio world.
