Los Angeles native Danny Janklow is quickly becoming recognized internationally for his soulful, yet, innovative voice on the alto saxophone. Danny has performed in venues ranging from the Apollo in Harlem to the Bimhuis in Amsterdam. He frequently performs with the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra at the Village Vanguard in NYC. Danny Janklow recently graduated Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance where he was mentored by saxophone legend Dick Oatts and incredible trumpeter Terell Stafford. In 2010, Danny won 1st place in the North American Saxophone Alliance competition held in Athens, Georgia ranking him the top jazz saxophonist in North America under 26. In August 2012, Danny was honored to win first place in the Detroit Jazz Festival Saxophone Competition allowing him the opportunity to lead a headlining group on the 2012 Detroit Jazz Festival. Danny is also a strong young advocate for jazz education. He is currently working at the esteemed Stanford Jazz Workshop as the saxophone mentor where he teaches masterclasses, aural skills classes, and private lessons....

While still in high school, Danny was recognized by Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra at the Essentially Ellington competition twice as an outstanding clarinet soloist and in 2007 received their first ever triple instrument outstanding soloist on tenor, clarinet, and flute. Among being recognized as rising star saxophonist, his compositions have been incredibly well-received by audiences around the world from LA to NYC to the Netherlands. Two of his compositions are featured on Danny’s brand new album release “Recurring Dreams”.
Danny has been fortunate to share the stage with jazz masters such as Benny Golson, Jimmy Heath, James Moody, Wynton Marsalis and Branford Marsalis. Danny currently resides in Los Angeles where he is taking the scene by storm with his inspiring performances.

Eric Reed Bio



Award-winning pianist and composer Eric Scott Reed began playing the piano at age two and was performing in his father’s Baptist church in Philadelphia by age five. After study at Philadelphia’s Settlement Music School and Los Angeles’ Colburn School of Arts, Reed embarked upon a professional career that has taken him all over the world. His credits include Wynton Marsalis, Jessye Norman, Quincy Jones, Patti Labelle and others. Reed has taught at The Juilliard School of Music and gives master classes and lecture demonstrations on the history of music. His other musical ventures include over 20 recordings as a leader, including his latest recording, The Dancing Monk; scoring for Eddie Murphy’s comedy, Life; and musical direction for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Currently Reed is in residence with the Ebony Repertory Theatre of Los Angeles, as musical director of Regina Taylor’s Crowns.
