Since Long John’s passing in 2004, The newly reincarnated group has made many triumphs, performing, engaging, interacting, and connecting with audiences worldwide. Some of their accomplishments include, gaining the title of the “88.1FM KJAZZ – Latin Jazz Artist’s of the Year”, a grand TV performance on KCET at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, a memorable high profile fund raiser at MOCA with host Paula Abdul, a stellar showcase at the IAJE Conference in New York City, and amazing performances at the world famous Long Beach Jazz Festival and the Playboy Jazz Festival.

Composed of extracts from Chucho Valdes, Arturo Sandoval, Celia Cruz, Maraca, Poncho Sanchez, Buena Vista Social Club, Grupo Afro-Cuba, and NG La Banda. Their sound is considered to be the epitome of Cuban Popular Dance music, and Afro-Cuban Jazz! Their outstanding repertoire and style is a fusion of jazz improvisations mixed with their afro-cuban roots (rumba, folklore, danzon, cha cha cha, mambo, son and timba).
