The DFQ consists of Dale Fielder-baritone sax, the legendary ex-Mingus Workshop pianist Jane Getz, Bill Markus-bass, Thomas White-drums and vocalist Rita Edmond. The DFQ first garnered international attention back in 1996 with their first CD: “Dear Sir: Tribute To Wayne Shorter” which enjoyed the full support of Mr. Shorter and remained on the top ten jazz charts for over 3 months. They were also BET’s 1999 “Jazz Discovery” and performed their own hour TV show that continues to play today.
