John Stephens & Blue Visions at The Blue Guitar

John Stephens was born in the gulf coast city of Beaumont, Texas where he was influenced by numerous genres including R&B, Latin, Zydeco, and Delta Blues. He toured with Big Bands such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Benny Carter. His professional musical career began as a tenor saxophonist but he also plays alto, soprano, and baritone in addition to flute and clarinet. He spent four years in the U.S. Marine Corp Band and has a B.A. in Music from Cal State Northridge. He'll be joined by Dave Edelstein on keys, Jeff Takaguchi on bass and Chris Ross on drums.
