Special Valentine's Day show with our good friend and former South Pasadena neighbor, Mark Hatch, along with his fabulous Group 5 ensemble. The band consists of five veteran musicians — Mark Hatch on trumpet and flugelhorn, Sam Riney on sax and flute, Rich Ruttenberg on the keyboard, Domenic Genova on bass, and Dave Tull filling in for Kendall Kay on drums. They use classic 60s jazz quintet as a launching pad, while incorporating a broad spectrum of newer influences. At the intermission we'll have a short talk and chocolate tasting from UCLA professor, Dr. Lee Theisen, who teaches the history, economics, and science of chocolate. ...

Adjacent to the Blue Guitar room is the Arroyo Seco Grill which has food, wine, and full bar. Or you can bring your own bottle for a $10 corkage fee. Showtime is 7:30pm, doors open 30 minutes prior.
