He’s the 26 year-old Canadian crooner who’s setting a new standard for standards. Bringing hip, youthful interpretations to the Great American Songbook, Matt’s authentic approach, rich baritone voice and sly, comedic style evoke the spirit of a beloved bygone era.

Matt is thrilled to be making his debut at Upstairs at Vitello’s with his ‘Big Little Band’, featuring the top studio and jazz musicians in LA. As a featured vocalist, Matt regularly fronts Ron Jones’ acclaimed 22-piece Influence Jazz Orchestra, where most recently, he appeared with the Emmy award-winning, Seth MacFarlane (‘Family Guy’, ‘Ted’) at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. Matt has headlined at Herb Alpert’s ‘Vibrato’ in Bel Air with his ‘Big Little Band’ and also regularly appears at the legendary ‘Dresden Room’ in Los Feliz, performing opposite Hollywood’s longest-running jazz duo, Marty & Elayne (‘Swingers’). More recently, Matt’s recordings have been heard across Canada on FM Radio LaSalle and on Los Angeles’ own ‘Martini in the Morning’. His debut EP, recorded at Capitol Studios, will be released this November. Matt received his training at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (The Stella Adler Studio) and The Second City in Chicago.
