About
Remember the name. Melissa Morgan! She’s a jazz vocalist with a bluesy, soulful, R&B-tinged approach with influences of Dinah Washington, and Nancy Wilson. A classically trained musician, her primary direction is jazz. Melissa’s accomplishments include semi-finalist placement in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition, as well as performing in some of New York's top jazz rooms with notables Harold Mabern, David Hazeltine and Jon Faddis. After moving to LA she landed a recording contract with Telarc International. Melissa is about to launch her second CD, produced by illustrious musician, John Clayton.
