Multi-instrumentalist Monte Montgomery has been holding down the Tuesday 5-7 happy hour shift at the Grape since early 2023. Back by popular demand after his September debut on the main stage, Monte will offer up another grab bag of jazz standards, original tunes from his two albums on Sony/Extreme (Buddy Movie and the upcoming Buddy Movie 2). and his signature song parodies in the tradition of Allan Sherman and Weird Al Yankovic.
Rounding out the band will be saxophonist Karl Hunter (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Stevie Wonder, Gloria Estefan), bassist Mike Velasquez (Perla Battala, Ginger & the Hoosier Daddys), guitarist Anthony “Andy D” DiChiacchio (Mack and D, Los Amigos, Caliente), and drummer Dave Hunt (Lyle Mays, Rick James, Baked Potato house band).
