Nationally renowned vocalist Anne Walsh has an authentic style of singing that is neither purely jazz or purely pop but rather a fusion of the two. She’ll be joined by her pianist/husband Thomas Zink (who produced and arranged her first jazz release; the Grammy nominated “Pretty World”), bassist Hussain Jiffry, and drummer Chris Wabich. Walsh’s selections, pulled largely from her 3 CD releases, will take you from Bossa nova to Burt Bacharach, pulling from American and Brazilian classics as well as original pieces. She has received widespread praise for her lyricized vocal interpretations of instrumental jazz standards including Keith Jarrett’s “My Song”, Don Grolnick’s “Pools”, and Pat Metheny’s “So May It Secretly Begin” - in the latter case from the composer himself....
