In 1987, Jimmy Kemp, mayor of Meridian, Mississippi (Mike’s hometown) officially declared July 3rd as Mike “Majik” Boyd Day and awarded Mike the key to the city.

Mike has dedicated his life and energy to trying to make this world a better place for all to live. He has received the Golden Star Halo Award for writing and composing his Christmas hit, “It’s Christmastime for All of Us.” Mike also appeared on the hit daytime drama “Days of Our Lives” as the character Roland for three years.
