After touring worldwide with the renowned Glenn Miller Orchestra, Los Angeles-based singer Maria Schafer and Dallas-native trumpeter Brad Black visit the Blue Guitar with their hard-swinging 8-piece band — Lady Sings, Trumpet Swings! The band features a blend of hard swinging straight ahead jazz, bouncing bossa novas, dirty blues, jumping trad jazz, and even some modern originals to place the spotlight squarely on "Downbeat darling" Maria's impressive vocals and Brad Black's engaging showmanship and memorable trumpet style. Both artists are featured on Maria's debut 2018 album, To Know Love.
