Join us to kick off our new World Music Series when the Mitchell Long Brazilian Jazz Trio brings their vast repertoire of songs from many periods of Brazilian music.
Mitchell, an acoustic and electric guitarist, singer, band-leader and world traveler, has 35+ years experience in performing, recording, composing and arranging in Jazz, Blues, Pop, improvisation and World Music. The jazz background of this all-star trio enables plenty of interplay and improvisation. They will also feature some of Mitchell’s own compositions as well as songs from Africa.
The World Music Series is curated by Los Angeles jazz musician and composer, David Arnay, who first brought us the popular Second Sunday Jazz Series. Watch the website for World Music performances throughout the year on Open Day Last Sunday....
