7:30 pm -8:30 pm ~ MANDO & BLUE GATOS
Born in Houston, Texas, and raised in a musical family as the youngest of 10, he grew up in an environment where the home was always filled with music. Armando gravitated towards the local blues and jazz scene where there was always an abundance of clubs and great musicians with whom to play, including Jimmy Ford and Arnett Cobb, one of the renowned Texas tenors. He led his own Rhythm & Blues band and had the opportunity to back some of the great Blues Legends such as guitarists Albert Collins and Johnny Copeland, and Grammy and Oscar winning producer
T. Bone Burnett.
His purpose is to make every performance a celebration.
Tonight marks his debut of playing Blues guitar for the audience!
