Melanie O'Reilly and her trio - Frank Martin (piano), Fred Randolph (Bass) & Jack Dorsey (drums) create their riveting and unique sound by fusing Celtic melodies with American jazz. Melanie's original compositions are inspired by traditional Gaelic culture and contemporary Irish poetry.

Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and currently based in the Bay Area, Melanie has performed at festivals and venues worldwide, such as Lincoln Center, the Edinburgh International Festival, Musique d'Ici et d'Ailleurs in France, and the International Jazz Festival at UCLA. She created and hosted an award-winning series "Jazz on the Bay," broadcast by RTE, Ireland's National Radio Station.
