Hailing from California's capital of Sacramento, the group known as Chikading! has been most commonly referred to as "Medeski, Martin & Wood on crack! ". Energetic grooves , noisy hooks and machine gun bass propel the listener into cosmic sound adventures. Spontaneous combustion never sounded so good!

Trouble Quartet will be performing scores by composer and keyboardist Andrew Jamieson. The rhythms and notes on the page are sometimes played, sometimes embellished, and sometimes act simply as a springboard for unrestricted improvisation. The music is an attempt to extend the spontaneous and creative spirit of the music of the black church tradition into the creation of unique textures, harmonies, phrasing and forms.
