Alan Hall's Ratatet: A Tribute To Billy Cobham at Musically Minded Academy

​In this concert drummer Alan Hall and his band Ratatet will perform music either composed, performed, or inspired by the legendary drummer, Billy Cobham. The focus will be on three main areas: Cobham’s work as a sideman with CTI records, his work with John McLaughlin’s Mahavishnu Orchestra and his solo work as a band leader and composer. Hall’s sextet, Ratatet, features the front line of bassoonist Paul Hanson, trombonist John Gove and vibraphonist Dillon Vado; and the back line of Greg Sankovich on keyboards, Jeff Denson on electric and acoustic bass and vocals, and Hall on drums. They will be releasing their debut CD ,”Arctic” on Ridgeway Records in January 2016.
