His songs are suffused with a dreamlike atmosphere and performed with a unique vocal range. His latest album, Songs For The Seance, is a meditation on the collection of memories that live inside all of us, whether they are experienced, dreamed, or inherited from our ancestors. It touches on themes of identity, the need for belonging, loss, isolation, and hope.Like his debut, The Crossing, this new album was recorded to Otari ½" 8 track with collaborator and producer Alicia Vanden Heuvel. There is a warmth present in his recordings, and the sonic landscapes he creates break new ground in the tradition of American western country folk music. The album takes the listener on a poignant, poetic, thoroughly relevant, and well-crafted musical journey.Noelle & The Deserters—Noelle & The Deserters bring South-Western honky tonk from the high deserts of New Mexico to the golden hills of California. Like all classic country music, the songs are infused with a sense of real-life struggles and living life in the everyday.
