An entertaining program of rare standards, Latin jazz, ragtime, and Django Gypsy style.
Internationally acclaimed jazz guitarist Howard Alden in a rare concert will perform on his first instrument, the tenor banjo.
Alden famously coached Sean Penn on how to play the guitar and soloed on the guitar sound track for Penn’s role as a Django-style guitarist in the 1999 Woody Allen movie, Sweet and Lowdown.
