Leonard B. Lothlen, born and raised in Oakland, CA, was inspired by his father’s street ministry and began playing guitar in church at 13. By 15, he had written his first song and formed a quartet, later launching a career that has produced over 200 songs, 10 albums, and a Grammy nomination. Influenced by Motown, Philadelphia soul, gospel quartets, and groups like Earth, Wind & Fire, his music blends gospel, R&B, jazz, blues, hip-hop, and contemporary Christian styles, always carrying an uplifting message. Over the decades, Leonard has toured across the U.S. and Canada, released landmark projects with The Gospel Clouds, Infinity, and the Leonard Lothlen Band, and composed scores for stage productions, including The Accused.
