At a time when female instrumentalists were marginalized, Marian achieved wide recognition as a pianist, composer, author, educator, and radio host. Pianist Laura Klein, bassist Ruth Davies and drummer Kelly Fasman will celebrate the centennial year of Marian's birth by performing her gorgeous but rarely heard original compositions, as well as other music associated with her. This all star trio wowed sold out audiences earlier this year at Piedmont Piano and the Sacramento Jazz Coop. An event not to be missed.
