Jazz On My Mind: Behind-the-Scenes Stories Of The Stars Of Jazz at California Jazz Conservatory

Paul Simeon Fingerote, California Jazz Conservatory's new Marketing Director and former Marketing Director of the Monterey Jazz Festival, shares intimate stories about the stars of jazz as told by Bay Area jazz icon, Dr. Herb Wong, in their book, Jazz on My Mind: Liner Notes, Anecdotes and Conversations from the 1940s to the 2000s.

He will be joined onstage by 2017 Jazz Search West winner and CJC student, vocalist Jamie Zimmer, singing tunes associated with some of the artists featured in the book, accompanied by Julian Lopez on keys.

This is a multi-media show with Fingerote reading book excerpts (Monterey residents may recognize his on-air voice from NPR/KAZU) and sharing historic photos of jazz artists, album cover art, audio clips and more. ...
