About
Jazz in the Neighborhood is proud to introduce the first of our new series at the BFUU in North Berkeley, featuring a concert every third Friday of the month. Opening the series will be the Marcus Shelby Quintet, playing a mix of blues and swing; originals, standards, and rhythm & blues. Marcus Shelby is a highly accomplished teacher, composer, arranger, and bassist based in the Bay Area. Joining Shelby will be featuring Joe Warner on piano, Ila Cantor on guitar, Tim Angulo on drums, and Tiffany Austin on vocals. A local youth showcase will be announced and will open the show.
