Summit 2V1 (pronounced “Summit Two Five One”)
is a hot 5-piece jazz funk band from the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 2004, by Bass Player Dave Hermocillo and Saxophonist Brad Suppanz, with the goal of keeping jazz funk fusion alive. Over several years time, the group has formed an entrancing style all its own—a solid groove-based rhythmic foundation, layered with higher harmonic function, melodic form and searing solos. Summit 2V1 consists of five talented musicians with a total of 70 years of musical experience.
Summit 2V1 (Summit) consists of Bass, drums, guitar, keys, saxophone and an occasional EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument). “Elevation 1800″ is Summits’ first CD release and features the bands signature solid grooves on tracks “Quesa Ridge” and “Brecker Peak”. Melodic ballads like “Indian Road” show the bands versatility.

"Never write the same song twice," is Michael Vincent's motto for music. "Never let 'em think they know everything about you just by the style you're playing at the moment." While Michael's not certain if that's what the Beatles said, (since that's what they too made sure to do),
he does remember the impact those words had as they sank in, and have propelled his songwriting ever since.
Which's why Michael Vincent's albums and performances are so unique. Fans have said over and over again, "I never knew what he's gonna bring up there (on stage) next..." From cellos to 12-strings, from classic rock to pop-punk to surf/ska to west coast country - Michael Vincent draws from all these genres and makes them part of his songcraft.

Michael's songs range from the political (Upside Down - which goes with a well crafted music video on YouTube) to the farcical (Say Somebody Loves You, from his first album Lines & Wonders), about a roll around the skating rink. As Trent Yaconelli from the KIFOG/KRSH band Five AM said, "Michael’s got great energy for bringing the entire range of the human experience in his songs; and he’s got amazing hooks!”
