Described as the "Swiss Army Knife of bandleaders," Rhonda Sauce is an arranger, composer, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist from Oakland, California. Sauce most recently participated in NEA Jazz Master Dee Dee Bridgewater's grant program The Woodshed Network. Known for her unique voice, Sauce's instrument, phrasing, and sensibilities are very clearly steeped in the depth and tradition of greats such as Ella, Billie, and Sarah. Her debut EP, "Back To You," is a love letter to all of the jazz greats that have come before her. Sauce's refreshing sound has filled the walls of many Bay Area music institutions—along with her mighty talented friends, Grant Levin, Eytan Schillinger-Hyman, and James Gallagher.
