Robert Gastelum & Friends: New Song Celebration at The Back Room

Trumpeter Robert Gastelum started playing trumpet in 1995 in the Napa Valley. Coming from a labor intensive environment, Robert has been able to complete a formal music education by attending Berklee in Boston in 2004, receiving a bachelor professional studies in interdisciplinary music studies degree, as well as also completing a masters degree in Music Tech (in 2023), from Southern Utah University.

Robert has played many gigs with his dad’s band, the ’family band,’ Band 707 from Napa, and Robert has freelanced in other bands and his own group throughout the years.

Tonight he is celebrating the release of a tune produced and now published to Spotify (and online) under his own name, Robert Gastelum, that features some of the best local Bay Area jazz jammers (which he has mostly met at local jazz jams)....

Tickets are $20 general admission and $15 for students with ID. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.

Doors open 30 minutes before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
