Ron Jackson Whatever's Open Tour at The Back Room

Celebrated seven-string jazz guitarist Ron Jackson and his trio will perform songs from his new album, Standards and My Songs. They are touring throughout the country, playing dates wherever they can at "whatever's open.” And they are forging partnerships with local organizations to educate communities in each city about the history of jazz and the seven-string jazz guitar.

Standards and My Songs is Ron's second recording as a seven-string guitarist and a follow-up to Standards and Other Songs, which was critically acclaimed and a 2019 JazzWeek Top 100 album! Like its’ predecessor, ...My Songs is comprised of well-known standards as well as pop and R&B songs reimagined as jazz. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door for general admission; $10 for students, seniors, and low-income individuals. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available at the link below, or you may purchase your tickets at the door the night of the show. Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash only at the door (ATMs are nearby).

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own food and adult beverages with no additional corkage fee.
