Melanie will also be joined by a few of her vocal students to sing for this show; a night not to be missed!

MELANIE O'REILLY
Currently based in the Bay Area, Melanie is recognized as one of Ireland’s international jazz ambassadors. Having represented Ireland in a major international European Union Jazz festival at UCLA,Oct 2013, her performance at the National Concert Hall Dublin garnered the accolade as one of the “Top concerts of the year” of 2013, by Ireland’s Sunday Independent. Venues and festivals of note include “Schoenberg Hall UCLA, Freight and Salvage CA, Edinburgh International. Festival Fringe, New York’s Cooper Union, Musique d’Ici et D’Ailleurs in Chalons-en-Champagne, Cork International Jazz Festival among others. Her own radio show Jazz on the Bay earned her a PPI / National Radio Award.

DENNY BERTHIAUME
Pianist Denny grew up outside Washington D.C. and Chicago, although San Francisco is now his home. He has performed with Bobby McFerrin, Diane Schuur, Joe Williams, Ed Thigpen, Stan Getz, k.d.lang, and Joan Rivers. He recorded 4 albums as co-leader of the successful fusion group Solar Plexus. He has appeared at jazz festivals in Monterey, the Russian River, San Jose, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. He was professor in literature and music at Foothill College in Los Altos, California (1970-2004) and a published playwright.
