Generations in Jazz Foundation

GIJ is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the only original American art form, Jazz. GIJ is a presenting organization that sponsors a Jazz Camp for young musicians, Jazz Festivals featuring Students and Stars, Jazz Outreach Programs for after school, Recording Arts projects and mentorships with local professionals. The Foundation was established in 1999 with the formnation of the Lafayette Summer Music Workshop and has developed into a diverse program reaching out to both the experienced musician and underserved communities in support of Jazz education.
