wednesdays @berkeley arts presents an evening of electronic music
featuring: John Bischoff - Chris Brown - James Fei - Tim Perkis
Innovative Bay Area composer-performers John Bischoff, Tim Perkis, Chris Brown and James Fei join forces for an evening of electroacoustic music and improvisation at the Berkeley Arts Festival on Sunday, July 1. Bischoff and Perkis are co-founders of the legendary League of Automatic Music Composers, who pioneered network computer music in the mid-1970s. Brown joined them in 1985 as a member of The Hub, which has since then performed and recorded computer network music throughout North America and Europe. James Fei is a composer and performer on saxophones and live electronics whose sound installations and performances often focus on electronic and acoustic feedback. The evening will feature collaborative works and improvisations for acoustic and electronic instruments and computers. ...
