Kelly Fasman And Friends at Musically Minded Academy

Kelly Fasman and Friends features compositions by members of the band. These musicians/composers play music and teach in the Bay Area. Bass player Matt Finders played trombone in New York with Mel Lewis, Natalie Cole, Toshiko Akiyoshi and with the Tonight Show with the Jay Leno band for 17 years. He wrote many of the horn arrangements for that band. John R Burr is an incredible piano player who has played with numerous international stars, and currently works with Robben Ford, Suzanna Smith and Jackie Ryan. Guido Fazio has played saxophone with almost every well known artist who has passed through San Francisco. Guest artist John Whitney was the guitarist with Etta James and writes for Tower of Power. Woodwind player/composer Dane Post has played,taught and written beautiful music for many years. Kelly Fasman is a full time drummer and teacher and is thrilled to play with her great friends. She has performed with Kenny Loggins, The Moody Blues, Joan Baez, and Joan Rivers. House drummer for The American Musical Theatre of San Jose for 17 years, Kelly also plays for Teatro Zinzanni, Broadway By the Bay, and Theatreworks. She played with The Montclair Women’s Big Band at the 2005 Grammy Awards, and toured and recorded with Musical Circus Fantasia in Japan and ‘Dreamgirls’ on the West Coast. Kelly enjoys teaching 30 students in Pleasanton. She has also performed with guitarist Terrence Brewer, among many others....
