Larry Leight:
Veteran trombone player, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Larry Leight is a fourth-generation musician from New York who has played everything from swing, bebop and Dixieland to Balkan music and beyond. Over the course of his 30+ year career, he has performed with such singers as Lavay Smith, Maria Muldaur Kellye Gray, and Emily Anne, as well as numerous jazz bands including The Tin Cup Serenade, The Glasses, Fanfare Zambeleta, Brass Manazeri, and Mal Sharpe’s Big Money and Jazz Band. Larry currently puts his musical vision to use as bandleader of Larry-Go-Round and the Rhythm Ponies, his latest musical endeavor.
Jim Shearer:
A professional musician who did his first gig on electric guitar at age 16, Jim Shearer has played upright bass for the last decade, performing an array of musical styles such as jazz, gypsy jazz, bossa nova, tango and modern contemporary. He has appeared at venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area including Pearl's, Club Deluxe, Cafe Cocomo, and Revolution Café in San Francisco as well as Cafe Van Kleef and Ashkenaz in the East Bay. Jennifer Murphy:
Jennifer Murphy is a San Francisco-based pianist focused on jazz stylings and improvisation. In addition to playing with Larry-Go-Round and the Rhythm Ponies, Jennifer also performs solo piano and currently appears at Melt, Swig, and Café International in San Francisco as well as Cetrella in Half Moon Bay and A Grape in the Fog in Pacifica. Originally
trained as a classical musician, Jennifer attended Northwestern University’s School of Music.
