About

Want to learn to navigate familiar chord changes in an interesting new way? This workshop takes a deep dive into the technique of creating and using versatile six-note scales by combining pairs of triads. WeÕll look at different sets of triad-based scales and experiment with using them in a wide variety of situations including major and minor chords, sus chords, altered dominants, ii-V-I progressions, and diminished scale-based harmony. Students of all instruments, as well as improvising vocalists, welcome. Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of jazz harmony. Please bring your instrument!
