Rebecca DuMaine was raised in the San Francisco Bay area where her father Dave Miller has led his trio since the 1970s. Although she always loved to sing, her first career was as an actress on stage in New York City and regionally, as well as in commercials and voice-overs. Over time she found that she preferred singing jazz over musical theater. Since moving back to Northern California in 2010, Rebecca has worked regularly with her fathers trio, recording four CDs (Deed I Do, Better Than Anything, The Consequence Of You and Happy Madness) prior to Chez Nous. Rebecca DuMaine, who consistently digs into the meanings behind the lyrics, has the ability to make even the most familiar song her own. Chez Nous is a major step forward in her career.
