As a career sideman, William Bohrer has learned that the first priority in any genre is to play in an earnest and authentic manner- it's not necessarily what you play, but how you play it, working within the concept of the song.

In his first concert as a leader, William expands the 'how' to a trio setting, propelled by some of the most sensitive and earnest interpreters in the Bay Area: CJC's own Tyler Harlow on basses and Dillon Vado on drums. The concept here is to play tunes on their own terms, not to impose our own sensibilities where they're not necessary. However, this is Academia, one must show their work- this is merely the proof of that concept.
