Drummer Scott Amendola and guitarists John Schott and Will Bernard were 3/4ths of the infamous Acid Jazz band T. J. Kirk.
More recently, they’ve formed the quintet Damn Skippy, whose yearly December shows have drawn legions of lusty and inebriated music lovers. After 30 years of playing together in these and innumerable other groups, the three make their trio debut tonight at The Back Room.
Drawing on their love of groove, jazz, experimental improv, German film and classic sketch comedy, these dizzying virtuosos will be having a ton of fun, and you will too.
