Brazilian blues artist Artur Menezes is the latest pearl to emerge from the exclusive Rio de Janeiro quarry. His style cannot deny the debts with the most classic blues, although it also contains subtle or significant influences (depending on the moment) of soul, funk and baião (popular music of northeastern Brazil). From all this forms a perfectly balanced sound that is at once vintage and contemporary, between classic and openly indie.
