Greg Jones Band returns to Jazz in the Pines with a blues-funk tint to their always high-energy R&B dance music. Singer, composer, and pianist Jones has entertained Southern California audiences for more than 25 years. Dr. Jones, who teaches Communication Studies at Victor Valley College, began writing songs at the age of 12. He was mentored by the great bassist Marshall Hawkins, to whom Greg attributes his musical insight. Jones, founder of the Wrightwood Blues Society, has been part of Jazz in the Pines for its entire 25-year run.
