<em>The Washington Post</em> says Cyrille Aimée has “a voice like fine whiskey—oaky and smooth, with a hint of smokiness.” Winner of the Montreux Jazz Festival’s International Vocal Competition, the French/Dominican Chanteuse was raised in the village where legendary gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt once lived, and it shows. In this program she pays tribute to that legacy, leading two guitarists through a musical vision that combines gypsy, jazz and Brazilian influences to mesmerizing effect.
