David Byrd and Byrds of a Feather are playing at Savanna Jazz to enthusiastic crowds who appreciate high quality jazz performance. Their hard jazz tones are emotively mesmerizing. Compositions of greats such as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonius Monk, as well as obscure treasures are put on aural display throughout the evening. Further, Mr. Byrd's instinctive scat performances are absolutely spectacular.
The amazing David Eric Tillman on piano, Sascha Jacobsen on bass and Michael Spencer on drums, round out a stellar rhythm section.This is a Tribute to the Great Horace Silver.
