Over the course of saxophonist Azar Lawrence’s career, he has performed and recorded with such groundbreaking icons as McCoy Tyner and Miles Davis. At just 19 years old, Azar was chosen by Elvin Jones and then Tyner to fill the shoes of the late great John Coltrane.
