CAVALISA is a bossa nova duo and standards group comprised of Cava Menzies (Piano, Vocals) and Lisa Forkish (Lead Vocals). Their music is infused with lilting vocal harmonies, lush chordal textures, lyrical piano melodies, and a rich pallette of percussion and drums. CAVALISA draws on the romance and beauty of bossa nova infused jazz. Both Cava and Lisa are graduates of the Berklee College of Music (Boston) and are on the faculty of the Oakland School for the Arts.
