With her multi-octave range and soul-drenched sound, Berkeley-raised vocalist Destani Wolf is one of the most exciting singers to emerge from the 1990s Bay Area scene. Mentored by masters such as percussionist John Santos and Oakland Blues/Funk Guitarist Johnny Talbot, she recorded with Machete Ensemble, O-maya and The Pharcyde. Moving down to Los Angeles a decade ago opened up numerous doors for her, like collaborating with Shuggie Otis, Alice Russell, Seu Jorge, Quantic, Zap Mama and Talib Kweli.
