Renowned improvising saxophonist from England Trevor Watts (b. 1939) and his frequent collaborator, the percussionist Jamie Harris, fly in from London for a series of local concerts arranged by guitarist Karl Evangelista. Joining them on the Bird & Beckett date is bassist Lisa Mezzacappa. Evangelista and Mezzacappa are major voices of the contemporary San Francisco Bay Area avant garde.
