A celebration of the great American songbook inspired by the dynamic string-driven swing created by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli in 1930s Paris. In addition to new material, they will be playing from their CD Riverside Drive (Pete Douglas’ current favorite fun CD) which captures the essence of classic Thirties tunes but maintains a modern sensibility. As if someone unearthed a treasure trove of previously unheard classics, George Cole continues his mission to write a new chapter of the Great American Songbook.
