For this special concert, Hemispheres will be joined by internationally acclaimed Gnawan musician, composer and educator Yassir Chadly, who is a gifted musician of many traditional Moroccan instruments, including the oud, gimbri, karkabas, darbuka, fretless banjo, tarija and bender, and is one of the first Moroccan artists to introduce his native music to an American audience.

This concert will feature compositions by Ian Dogole, Frank Martin, Dave Tidball, Yassir Chadly, McCoy Tyner, Wayne Shorter, Ralph Towner and Thelonious Monk.
